Forreston – Issues specific to this course
Hall and helpers
John Crafter and Marcia Crafter normally provide help at this event. They normally:
- Collect the key, open the hall, and set the hall up before the event.
- Marcia normally helps out at the rego desk and can manage this for the whole event (pre-race, during the race, and post-race).
- John can help in other ways at the event (eg, traffic marshal) but we need to check on how he is to see what is is able to do
- They also help pack up, lock the hall, and return the key.
Check with them before the event to see if they are able to help and if so, in what capacity

The message to The Good Pantry (via their Facebook messaging):
Hi folks
On Sunday [date], we will be having a cycling event in Gumeracha in the morning – starts at 9am but people will be arriving from about 8am.
We will be stationed at the hall just up the road from your café.
We’ll certainly promote your café to everyone coming (officials, riders and spectators).
Also, if you would like to put a sign-board up where riders congregate at the hall to do some promotion, please do so.
If you like, you could also provide a few vouchers that we can give as prizes to the riders. They don’t need to be big in value ($5 or $10, or discount-type vouchers) for added promotion. Can you let me know if you would like to do this? Happy to chat it over if that would help
Regards
Start Marshal
A Start Marshal is required for this course, to stop cars as riders exit the hall car park
Finish Marshals
Finish Marshals have been allowed for on the course signage map.
These only apply if the Committee elects to stop traffic at the finish line. Unless the Committee advised otherwise, always assume that traffic will not be stopped and finish marshals will not be needed.
