SPONSORS, MEMBER DISCOUNTS AND SPECIAL OFFERS, AND SPONSORING THE CLUB

Hi all

Did you know that we have some great member discounts and special offers from our valued sponsors?

Check out the discounts from PREPD, Winners, and Zero Friction Cycling. Details are under the Sponsorship tab here on this web site

Why not join our list of valued sponsors, or if you know of someone who might like to support our club, then let us know 😊

We have a number of sponsorship opportunities that help the club do what it does best – run regular accessible road races for our club members and the broader AusCycling community here in SA. Check the Sponsorship tab on this site for more.

Upcoming events update

Hi everyone

Hope you are all enjoying the Festival of Cycling and getting out there on the bike!

A bit of an update:

The event on 7 Feb
This was planned to be the Fox Creek race but we did a drive around the course and there are some nasties that won’t get fixed in a hurry. Bummer.
We’ve changed the location to the Oakwood Roads Kermesse – back to the site first AC race we had and a fantastic course. It’s the one we could get going on short notice.
Entries will open soon! Just need to do some messing around behind the scenes.

Tour of Goolwa
Get you entries in and get that team training going!
A terrific 4-stage 2-day event down south.
Info and entry here:  https://www.adelaidehillscc.org.au/tour-of-goolwa-2020/

For the diary
On 14 March we are at Bradbury for the world-famous Bradbury Kermesse!
Put that one in your diary  🙂

A safe and fair TOG

Hi all

For the TOG, we have two important things to raise with you all.

  • First, is safety and when we have bunches of up to 24 riders pumping it around open roads, we need to know that riders have experience at this sort of racing. All it takes is one bad move in the pack and a lot of riders can come down.
  • Second, we need to have a reasonable basis to be able to grade riders to ensure we are fair to everyone else.

For these reasons, there are two things to cover off when getting your teams together

  • First: if anyone is using an “event licence” option, we will need to see evidence of having done at least 2 races over the last 12 months. This can be done now by setting up an AusCycling Trial Membership and then do our AHCC races on 10 Jan and 7 Feb, the Norwood Crits, or any other road/crits races on the AusC calendar over the 4-week period the trial membership covers, to get this experience. Racing with either of the two AVCC clubs (SVCC and AMCC) counts as the needed 2 races.
  • Next: if you have a current AusCycling licence, we need to know that you have done at least 2 races in the last 12 months under CA, the AVCC, or AusCycling.
