Congratulations to AHMCC member and Safety Officer, David Degenhardt, who was appointed President of SAMCA for 2018 at the SAMCA AGM on Tuesday night.  Robert Freak will continue as Vice-President, and his experience at that level will be a significant support for Dave in his new role.  Richard Tormet and Jeff Geisler will continue as Secretary and Treasurer respectively.  The meeting was heavily supported by numerous AHMCC members.

In his short presentation to the meeting Dave impressed with his enthusiasm and commitment to promote and maintain the interests of road racing for veteran cyclists.  Well done Dave.

However due to a setup issue with the new software not all the times for the first lap were recorded so these have not been included in the results. Due to the same reason 2nd and 3rd places for B Grade were transposed at the presentation today.

Results

No changes from preliminary start list apart from adding in number of laps for each grade.
With this new system I will try and publish the results on the web at the end of the race (provided of course I can get a reasonable internet connection).

Note that we are now using new timing software and the pdf below has been generated directly from that software which involves less work than the old way of formatting data into a spreadsheet.

MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL

As an existing member, please DO NOT attempt to renew your AVCC licence before 1^st December 2017. If you do, you will find that your new licence will expire on 31^st December 2017, and not 2018.

New members only are able to join now and receive membership until the end of 2018.
